LAWSPORTS / ABOUT US

Our small, but multi-talented team are dedicated to delivering outstanding results that exceed our clients’ expectations.

David Law / Managing Director

David has worked in the sports-media world since graduating from a Media and Communications degree in 1997. He began his career as part of an award-winning media team at The Stella Artois Tennis Championships (now AEGON Championships) at The Queen’s Club in London, and has been the tournament’s Media Manager since 2002. In 2008 he became the tournament's Media Director. Between 1998 and 2001, David travelled the world as a Communications Manager for the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).

He set up LawSports in January 2002, a year in which he joined the BBC Radio 5 Live Wimbledon team and added broadcasting to the list of services offered by LawSports. He has commentated for BBC Radio on the Wimbledon, US and Australian Open finals, interviewed many of the biggest names in tennis such as John McEnroe, Andre Agassi and Roger Federer, and written for numerous national newspapers and magazines in the United Kingdom, including the Sunday and Daily Telegraph, The Times and The Independent.

In 2007, David trained in video production, and in early 2008 he shot interviews with Pete Sampras, Goran Ivanisevic and Bjorn Borg which were broadcast by the BBC, CNN, ITV and appeared on numerous websites.

Gorana Law / Video Editor

Gorana became LawSports’ Video Editor when we launched our video production service in early 2008. Fully qualified using the professional editing suite Final Cut Pro, Gorana’s talents enabled us to produce slick video features for client websites and newsworthy footage for television broadcasters.

One of Gorana’s features - a celebration of 30 years of Artois tennis at The Queen’s Club in London - was purchased by BBC television for previewing the 2008 tournament and its final.

Gorana graduated from a Management degree in 2002 and has worked successfully in Marketing, so she understands the importance of brand promotion in the videos that she creates for corporate clients. She also trained and works in Graphic Design, and has created LawSports’ visual identity, including the LawSports website. To view her designs, click here.

Catherine Whitaker / Account Manager

Catherine began working for LawSports in 2008 after impressing as an intern throughout the previous year. She graduated from a French and Philosophy degree in June 2008 and joined LawSports immediately afterwards.

She works on-site at The Queen’s Club during the AEGON Championships, the Masters Tennis event at the Royal Albert Hall and several events on the ATP Champions Tour, where she effectively liaises between media, sponsors, tournament organisers and high-profile tennis players.

In her current role, Catherine is responsible for managing client accounts, providing a research and clippings service, and supporting David Law across the entire LawSports portfolio, assisting with interviewing, writing and promotional work.

As well as our full-time staff, we have a wider network of accomplished media consultants to call upon, including ATP
