At LawSports, we seek to maximise the impact of our exclusive interviews, and in 2008 we added video production to our list of radio and written services to ensure that every medium is covered. We use professional broadcasting equipment to produce video content that can be used on television and online.
Pete Sampras - Exclusive Interview
Seven-time Wimbledon champion Pete Sampras joined the the ATP Champions Tour in 2008, and to announce the news of his arrival, we shot an exclusive television interview with him in Beverly Hills.
In a wide-ranging, 30-minute conversation, Sampras talked about his life as a retired tennis player and how he wanted to return to the court because he felt ‘unfulfilled as a man’. He also revealed, for the first time, that he would like to sit courtside if and when Roger Federer breaks his Grand Slam title record.
The interview was screened several times by CNN World Sport, BBC 1 Breakfast News, Reuters Television and Sports News Television and the audio was broadcast in bulletins on BBC Radio 5 Live. We then packaged the footage into a two-minute, on-line video feature for the BlackRock Tour of Champions and BlackRock Masters Tennis websites as well as YouTube, receiving tens of thousands of views.
